You know how they say something is like peanut butter and jelly when a combination just makes sense? Well this is more like orange juice and Lucky Charms. I know that sounds strange but trust me it delicious! But come on, James Mercer of The Shins probably wasn’t the first person to pop into your head when you thought of possible Brian Burton (A.k.a. Dangermouse) collaborators either. So it probably isn’t the most obvious combination but it is so choice. (Sidebar- remember when people said choice to mean good? I’m bringing that back.) The melodies are fantastic and the rhythms are compliment them so well. This is some serious music. Sonic Fillet Mignon.
